Bron Breakker made his main roster debut at the Royal Rumble and in the months since then, he has been on an absolute tear and booked like an indomitable force. He had a stellar match with Ilja Dragunov on RAW this week and now Dragunov’s health status after the match has been revealed.

During the July 22nd edition of Monday Night RAW, Bron Breakker and Iljua Dragunov faced off against each other to determine the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship.

As expected, Breakker and Dragunov had a brutal match. Just before a commercial break, Breakker delivered a devastating move on the apron, prompting Michael Cole to call him a “sick-o.” When the show returned, both Superstars were still battling fiercely for control.

The match featured several near-falls, with the crowd cheering and chanting “This Is Awesome” for both competitors. Dragunov suffered a severe head injury from a spear on the apron and couldn’t continue. The referee stopped the match, declaring Bron Breakker the winner and Sami Zayn’s new challenger for SummerSlam.
