It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means! The Blood & Guts episode of AEW Dynamite will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the July 24, 2024 episode.

AEW Dynamite Results (7/24/2024):

The show opens up with Alex Marvez in a parking garage. Marvez says he is hoping to speak with “The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay. Ospreay runs past Marvez and finds out that his tire was slashed. Ospreay asks Marvez for his keys and then they hopped in a white SUV. Marvez then asks Ospreay if he has ever driven in America. Ospreay then says no and Marvez yells.

Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Taz then welcomes us to the show and recaps MJF beating Will Ospreay to win the AEW International Championship last week while highlights from the match were shown. The Lady Kats then appeared on the entrance ramp and new AEW International Champion MJF makes his way down to the ring as he was being introduced by ring announcer Justin Roberts. MJF then stands in the ring next to an item covered on a podium.

MJF starts off by gloating about defeating Will Ospreay last week and makes it clear that he hasn’t forgotten about the AEW World Championship. MJF then says when the spotlight is on himself, he shines bright like a diamond. MJF then says Ospreay melts under the spotlight and he beat Ospreay without breaking a sweat. MJF then brags about the praise his match with Ospreay has received, then takes a couple of shots at Ospreay. MJF then mocks Ospreay and tells him to face him like a man. MJF then calls Ospreay worthless, then parades around the AEW International Championship and continues to mock Ospreay. MJF then says working hard like Ospreay is for the poor like the fans, then says fans like the International Championship because it’s for international talent. MJF then says he deserves a title worthy of his superior intellect, talent and upbringing. MJF then throws the International Championship into a garbage can, then says he deserves a title that deserves the best wrestler and country in the world. MJF then unveils a cloth set up on a table to reveal the new AEW American Championship. MJF then shows his pride for his country and holds up his new title as streamers and the American flag rain down into the crowd.

Will Ospreay then appears out of nowhere and looks to blindside MJF, but MJF slides out of the ring before Ospreay can. Ospreay then tells MJF he can tell his best to be a terrible person, but no one needs it. Ospreay then voices his frustrations with the way MJF beat him last week and says he couldn’t do it without the Dynamite Diamond Ring. Ospreay then says he has some good news, then announces that he will be receiving his rematch for the AEW American Championship at AEW All In. Ospreay then grabs the AEW International Championship from the garbage can and takes it to the back.

We then head to the back to see the coin flip between Team Elite and Team AEW as to who will be allowed to have team members enter Blood & Guts first. We then see The Elite standing over Christopher Daniels and Matthew Jackson flips the coin to reveal The Elite have earned themselves the advantage as they question the whereabouts of “Hangman” Adam Page.

FTW Champion “The Learning Tree” Chris Jericho then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night. Minoru Suzuki makes his way down to the ring next.

FTW Championship Match: “The Learning Tree” Chris Jericho (c) vs. Minoru Suzuki

The match starts off with both men staring each other down. Jericho and Suzuki then exchange several chops with each other. Jericho then hits a clothesline on Suzuki. Jericho then looks to fly off the ropes, but Suzuki intercepts him and locks in an arm bar using the ring ropes. Suzuki then sends Jericho’s face bouncing off the commentary desk, then grabs a chair and hits Jericho’s midsection with it. Suzuki then nails it across Jericho’s spine, then grabs a second chair and slides Jericho’s arm into it. Suzuki then uses the second chair to hit the first one, injuring Jericho’s arm. Suzuki then snaps Jericho’s fingers, then locks in an arm submission on him back in the ring. Jericho then hits a Codebreaker on Suzuki and both men go back and forth with forearms. Jericho then locks in the Walls of Jericho on Suzuki, but Suzuki escapes and looks to hit a piledriver on Jericho. Jericho then avoids it and low blows Suzuki, then hits him with the Judas Effect for the win.

After the match, Jericho holds up the FTW Championship as Suzuki gets back up. Suzuki then locks in a Sleeper on Jericho and hits him with a piledriver, but Big Bill and Bryan Keith blindside Suzuki from behind. Katsuyori Shibata’s music then hits and he sends Bill crashing out of the ring. Keith then looks to attack him, but Shibata hits a knee on his midsection.

We then head to the back and see Renee Paquette having a conversation with Willow Nightingale. Stokely Hathaway then appears next to Willow and Kris Statlander blindsides Willow. Statlander then hits an F5 on Willow on top of several road-cases.

We then get video footage from earlier in the day of “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson having a conversation with Renee Paquette while they were both sitting on top of production crates. Danielson says his doctor told him his neck is fixable and he has to make sure it stays that way. Danielson then says he will work hard, do his best and try to enjoy the moment at Wembley Stadium. Jeff Jarrett then shows up and says he overheard the conversation. Jarrett then says Danielson knows better than anyone that he was crushed over not winning the Owen Hart Cup tournament. Jarrett then says Danielson overcame the odds that he could not and he’s the perfect person and now has a date with destiny. Jarrett then says Danielson will be facing a champion who knows exactly what he needs to do. Jarrett then says Danielson has to heal physically and mentally. Jarrett then says it sounded like Danielson had a foot out the door or was making an excuse. Jarrett then tells Danielson to go all in. Jarrett then says a lot of people believe in Danielson and he is at the very top of that list. After Jarrett walks away, Paquette asks Danielson how that sat with him. Danielson then says it’s true and he has some work to do.

Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. and Hikaru Shida then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and we get highlights of their past encounters while the announce team discuss their rivalry.

Singles Match: Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. vs. Hikaru Shida

The match starts off with Baker hitting a snapmare on Shida and rolling her up, but Shida kicks out. Shida then hits a kick on Baker’s midsection, but Baker looks to cinch in a Lockjaw on Shida. Shida then sends Baker out of the ring, then sends her crashing into the barricade shoulder first. Shida then delivers some right hands on Baker in the corner, then sets her up on the apron and nails her with a knee on her head. Baker then hits a neckbreaker on Shida and follows it up with a Sling Blade. Baker then delivers some forearms on Shida, but Shida responds with a German suplex. Baker then hits a thrust kick on Shida and looks to follow it up with a Curb Stomp, but Shida avoids it. Shida and Baker then take turns rolling each other up before Shida delivers some right hands on Baker. Shida then spots her signature kendo stick and debates using it. Shida opts against it, opening the door for Baker to hit a rolling elbow and a twisting neckbreaker. Baker then goes for a pin, but Shida kicks out. Shida then hits a Michinoku Driver on Baker, but Baker cinches in a Lockjaw on Shida and Shida taps out.

After the match, “The CEO” Mercedes Moné appears and tells Baker that she won’t be defending the TBS Championship against her at All In. Kamille then blindsides Baker and hits her with a pump kick. Kamille then locks in a Torture Rack on Baker, then hits her with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Moné then gets in the ring and holds up Kamille’s hand.

We then head to the back, where Christian Cage was speaking while Killswitch, Nick Wayne and Mother Wayne stood by. Cage says the fans in Nashville didn’t earn the right to see him in person, so he will conduct his business from the bowls of the arena. Cage then says they captured the Unified Trios Titles on Collision. Cage then says Nick Wayne will enter the Royal Rampage and earn a shot at the AEW World Championship. Cage then tells Nick he earned the right to speak for himself. Nick then starts to speak and then gets distracted by Kip Sabian. Nick then says he saw Sabian outside their locker room last week and asks what his deal is. Wayne then tells Sabian that he will kick him out of the Royal Rampage. Wayne also tells Sabian that no one cares that his father died and then tells him to suck it up.

“The Bastard” PAC then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Iron Savages’ Boulder is already waiting inside.

Singles Match: “The Bastard” PAC vs. Iron Savages’ Boulder

The match starts off with PAC hitting a boot on Boulder’s midsection. PAC then hits a pump kick on Boulder, but Boulder responds with a shoulder tackle and looks for a moonsault. PAC then moves out of the way, then hits a dropkick on Boulder. PAC then climbs to the top, then hits a missile dropkick and a suplex for the win.

We then head to the back, where AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland, Darby Allin, Max Caster, Anthony Bowens and ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe was standing with Prince Nana. Swerve speaks about leading the team and was cut off by Allin. Allin says Swerve isn’t leading anything and it’s not about him. Allin then says it’s about getting even with The Elite. Allin then says they won’t see eye to eye. Swerve then says if Allin wanted to get violent with him afterward he could. Caster then asks Swerve if he could get violent with him too and once again referred to himself as the best wrestler alive. Caster then says he will get violent with Allin and he doesn’t like his weird ass. Bowens then says it’s about The Acclaimed getting the AEW World Tag Team Titles. Briscoe then interrupts and says they needed to put it all aside. Briscoe then says The Elite’s game plan is to divide and conquer. Briscoe then says they couldn’t let that happen. Briscoe then gets most his crew fired up, but Allin shakes his head negatively and walks away.

Mariah May then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Kaitland Alexis is already waiting inside.

Singles Match: Mariah May vs. Kaitland Alexis

The match starts off with May hitting a dropkick on her opponent. May then delivers some right hands on Alexis, then follows it up with a dropkick and the Hip Attack. May then hits the Storm Zero for the win.

After the match, Toni Storm’s music hits and she sneaks up behind May sporting a scar on her head. Storm then begins brawling with May and officials run down to break the two women apart.

We then get a video package on the Blood & Guts Match and AEW TNT Champion ”The Scapegoat” Jack Perry makes his way down to the ring as the first entrant for The Elite, while Darby Allin makes his way down to the ring as the first entrant for Team AEW.

Blood & Guts Match: The Elite (AEW World Tag Team Champions Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson, AEW Continental Champion ”The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada, AEW TNT Champion ”The Scapegoat” Jack Perry and ”Hangman” Adam Page) vs. Team AEW (AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland, Anthony Bowens, Max Caster, Darby Allin and ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe)

The match starts off with Perry hitting Allin with a chair. Perry then sends Allin crashing into the side of the Steel Cage on the outside, then drags the ring steps away from the cage and sends Allin into the crowd. Both men then begin to brawl through the crowd before Allin clotheslines Perry back into the ringside area. Allin and Perry then get into the Blood & Guts cage and Perry hits Allin with a garbage can. Perry then chokes Allin with a piece of wire, then sets up the garbage can in the corner and sends Allin crashing into it head first. Perry then sends Allin crashing into it repeatedly, but Allin delivers some right hands on him. Nicholas Jackson is next in the match and he enters the Blood & Guts cage with a chair and a briefcase in hand. Nicholas then hits a leg drop on Allin from the apron.

Mark then enters Blood & Guts as the next member of Team AEW and delivers some right hands on Nicholas. Mark then sends Nicholas crashing into the second ring, then grabs a ladder and sets it up in the corner. Briscoe and Allin then send Nicholas crashing into the ladder spine first and Briscoe goes after Perry in the other ring. Briscoe then hits a right hand on Perry, then flies to take down Nicholas as the ladder lays on top of him. Briscoe then hits a splash in the corner on Nicholas using the ladder, then nails him with a suplex. Matthew Jackson is next in the match with a briefcase in hand, then hits Briscoe with the briefcase. Matthew then hits a DDT on Allin on top of the briefcase and Nicholas sends Allin’s face bouncing off the side of the cage. Matthew then hits a couple of suplexes on Allin, then gets him up as Nicholas hits a double stomp on him off the top rope. Nicholas then nails Briscoe and Perry stomps on him in the corner. Anthony Bowens is next in the match and he nails Nicholas with a series of strikes. Bowens then hits a kick on Matthew and a Famouser on Perry, but Matthew hits Bowens with one of the briefcases. Briscoe then bodyslams Matthew on top of one of the briefcases, but Matthew runs over Allin with a clothesline. Briscoe then hits a cutter on Nicholas off the top rope, then climbs to the top and hits a double stomp on Matthew using the skateboard covered with tacks. Bowens then stabs Perry with a pair of scissors and uses them to wear him down.

Kazuchika Okada is next in the match with a Rainmaker Drive sign in hand and he uses it to hit Bowens, Briscoe and Allin. Okada then tombstones Briscoe onto the Rainmaker Drive sign. Max Caster then enters the match with a microphone in hand and hits Okada, Matthew and Nicholas with it. Caster then grabs a chair and climbs to the top, then flies and hits Okada with it. Caster then grabs a plank of wood wrapped in barbed wire from under the ring and slides it inside, then looks to send Okada through it with Bowens. The rest of The Elite help Okada and The Young Bucks send Bowens crashing through the barbed wire. Matthew then bodyslams Bowens through the barbed wire and a second plank of wood with barbed wire placed on top of him. Nicholas then hits a Swanton Bomb on Bowens. Okada then places several tacks in Caster’s mouth and The Bucks superkick Caster. Up next in the match is “Hangman” Adam Page. Page’s music hits, but he doesn’t appear. Team AEW then blindside The Elite and Allin sends Nicholas into Matthew in the corner. Bowens then wraps barbed wire around his leg and Bowens hits the Scissor Me Timbers on Nicholas. Swerve Strickland is the final entrant in the match as Prince Nana accompanies him. Page then blindsides him on the ramp and delivers some right hands on him. Page then handcuffs Strickland to the side of the cage, then grabs the AEW World Championship and hits Strickland with it. Page then delivers some right hands on Swerve as Matthew tells Page to take it easy on Strickland. The Blood & Guts Match then officially begins.

Jeff Jarrett then appears on the ramp as Brandon Cutler tries to stop him. Billy Gunn then appears on the ramp and Jarrett nails Cutler with his guitar. Gunn, Jarrett and Nana then free Strickland of his handcuffs and use wire cutters to break open the door and let Strickland into the cage. Strickland then powerbombs Nicholas into Matthew, then hits a vertical suplex on Perry. Strickland and Page then stare each other down and deliver some right hands on each other. Allin then hits a Code Red on Page and The Bucks hit a superkick on Briscoe. Strickland then hits a Codebreaker-flatliner combination on Page, then grabs a staple gun and looks to staple Page to a garbage can lid. Matthew then opens up the other briefcase to reveal several staple guns. Matthew then hands them out to The Elite and each member takes turns stapling Strickland with them. Strickland then hits a backbreaker on Perry, but Okada nails him with a dropkick. Page then looks to hit the Buckshot Lariat on Strickland, but accidentally hits Okada. Strickland then uses the stapler on Page.

Nicholas then climbs up the side of the cage as Caster sends Matthew crashing into the barricade. Bowens then follows Nicholas up the cage as several tables stacked on top of one another lie below both of them. Nicholas then sends Bowens’ face bouncing off the cage and he is sent crashing through the tables. Briscoe then hits a piledriver on Perry and Nicholas as Allin sets up Perry on the table. Briscoe then sets Matthew up on another table in between the rings and hits him with an elbow drop off the top rope. Allin then scales the cage and makes his way to the middle of it. Allin then hits a Coffin Drop on Perry from the top. Caster then handcuffs Perry to the side of the cage and Briscoe uses a kendo stick to hit Perry in the midsection. Allin then crawls under the ring as Briscoe hits Perry with a chair. Allin then emerges with a can of gasoline and a lighter. Allin then douses Perry with the gasoline and looks to set him on fire, but Matthew tells him things have gone too far. Matthew then says that The Elite quits.

After the match, Team AEW celebrates and stands tall as the show comes to a close.
