Zelina Vega Responds to Growing “#PushZelina” Movement After 7/22 WWE RAW

Zelina Vega’s return to WWE in 2022 was a big moment celebrated by fans everywhere, signaling a major comeback in her career. Despite the excitement, she hasn’t yet reached the top spot in WWE. Recently, she started trending on social media and after winning a match on RAW this week, she made it clear she’s determined to prove her critics wrong and even addressed the growing ‘#PushZelina’ movement.

On the July 15 episode of RAW, Zelina Vega was brutally attacked by Shayna Baszler during her match against Sonya Deville, resulting in another injury and causing Vega to question her future in WWE. Following the incident, fans took to Twitter in frustration, and the hashtag #PushZelina began trending in support of her.

During the July 22nd edition of RAW, Zelina Vega showed remarkable resilience by pushing through an apparent arm injury in her match against Zoey Stark. Vega managed to secure a victory by utilizing her arm brace as a weapon.

In a Raw Talk segment, Vega was asked about how her victory highlighted her status as a significant competitor in the women’s division. She emphasized that her win showcased her as a genuine threat. Vega noted that Dominik Mysterio’s interference in her championship match against Liv Morgan was a clear indication that he recognized her potential.

Vega expressed her determination to achieve her dream of becoming champion, stating that the WWE Universe has consistently supported her. Vega pointed out the ongoing fan enthusiasm for change by addressing the ‘#PushZelina’ movement and her commitment to proving herself and fulfilling the expectations of her supporters.

“I think that’s exactly it. I am a threat. They know that. Just like Dominik [Mysterio] knew that when he got involved in my championship match against Liv [Morgan]. He knew that if he didn’t get involved, I would be standing here as champion. That’s a dream that I’m not giving up on. The WWE Universe has never given up on me. I’ve been trending now for five days because they are so ready for a change. Just like I am. It’s time that I start proving myself right, shutting people up, but most of all, proving the WWE Universe right as well.”

Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see whether the company will decide to push Zelina Vega in the end, as fans feel she deserves better now. Her win on RAW this week was certainly a step in the right direction.
