Title Match Announced for Second Week of WWE NXT Great American Bash

WWE NXT is set to present its next special show, Great American Bash, as a two-week special event on Syfy, which will begin next week. A stacked line-up has already been announced for Week 1. However, Week 2 will also see a major title match.

The NXT Universe has witnessed tensions prevail high between current NXT Champion Ethan Page and Oro Mensah ever since “All Ego” made his debut in the Black and Gold brand months ago.

From sneak attacks to embarrassing unofficial pinfalls, Oro Mensah has been able to outsmart Ethan Page for weeks. On the July 23rd edition of WWE NXT, Ethan Page was once again embarrassed by Oro Mensah, who scored another unofficial pin over him after Page had a referee come out to clarify that his previous pinfalls were not official.

At the end of the show, a frustrated Ethan Page walked into General Manager Ava’s office, looking to settle scores with Oro Mensah, and even offered to put his NXT title on the line for it.

Ava appreciated that idea, announcing a contract to be drafted and signed by both competitors next week on Week 1 of The Great American Bash, with their title showdown taking place on Week 2 of the show.
