The decline of WCW continues to be a widely discussed subject in the wrestling world, with numerous factors cited as contributing to its downfall. Among those weighing in on the topic is Scott Steiner, who has shared his perspective on what led to the demise of the once-prominent wrestling organization.
The ”Who Killed WCW?” docuseries was produced by Dwayne Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions and the series premiered last month, which ended up bringing the downfall of WCW back into the forefront again.
While speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling, Scott Steiner expressed strong opinions about the understanding of WCW’s demise, making it clear that those who disagree are misinformed.
The WWE Hall of Famer mentioned that a portion of these matters was revealed in the documentary “Who Killed WCW,” laying the blame on Brad Siegel and other senior executives at Turner Entertainment.
“Anybody that says anything different don’t know what the f**k they’re talking about. You got a glimpse of some of it [on Who Killed WCW]. It was like [former Turner Entertainment President] Brad Siegel, all the higher-ups.”
Even Hulk Hogan believes that WCW’s demise was due to executives and higher-ups. Regardless, WCW’s demise will always be a hot topic and that will not be changing anytime soon.
