Darby Allin seems to thrive on taking punishment one way or the other as he is truly a fearless daredevil right now. He made a surprise appearance on Dynamite last week by channeling Sting and he has now revealed backup plans for that spot in case the original spot wasn’t allowed.
During the 250th episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW Champion Swerve Strickland squared off against AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada. During the closing moments of the bout, The Young Bucks attacked Strickland, resulting in a disqualification. They were soon joined by Jack Perry and Adam Page, escalating the chaos.
Swerve Strickland’s allies’ The Acclaimed and Mark Briscoe rushed in, leading to an all-out brawl. As the 250th edition of Dynamite approached its end, Darby Allin made a surprise appearance, descending from the rafters in classic Sting style to join the brawl, capping off the episode with a spectacular scene of chaos.
While speaking on the Battleground podcast, Darby Allin talked about the spot where he descended from the rafters. Allin was asked if AEW had other plans if Martha Hart didn’t allow that spot. Allin confirmed that the backup plan would have seen Allin come out with a flamethrower, similar to what he did at Double or Nothing this year.
“Well, Plan B was coming back out with the flamethrower, torching a fool.”
Regardless, Darby Allin will be competing in the Blood & Guts match against The Elite on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, so we will have to wait and see who will come out on top in the match.
