In a surprising move, President Joe Biden announced via his X that he has decided not to seek re-election and will withdraw from the 2024 U.S. Presidential race. This decision opens up the Democratic nomination and has sparked various reactions, including from the pro wrestling community.
TNA Wrestling World Champion Nic Nemeth, formerly known as Dolph Ziggler in WWE, shared his thoughts on Biden’s announcement via his X. He stated that it was very odd not to hear from Biden regarding his decision by any means.
“I think it’s very odd to not have actually heard from him. Pretty substantial moment in our history, maybe we could get a quick Zoom, holding a newspaper or something.”
In another tweet answering a fan’s question, Nic Nemeth believed that the great nation of the USA deserves to hear from its President regarding his decision not to participate in the forthcoming elections, demanding a reasonable amount of transparency.
“I’m implying we should hear from our president, during a monumental announcement. Especially a monumental announcement that he was adamantly against, just a few days ago. That’s what I’m implying. Just reasonable transparency. Are you against that? Is that what you’re implying?”
The surprising move also spread wide speculation on suitable candidates who can stand in the elections with Joe Biden’s withdrawal, with one person nominating current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes for the same. Regardless, we will have to wait and see if Nic Nemeth and other citizens of the United States get their answers on Biden’s shocking move.
