All Elite Wrestling (AEW) had been hinting at the debut of a new character, Hologram, who made his first appearance during the July 20 episode of AEW Collision. He had an impressive debut, kicking off his in-ring career in AEW with a victory.

AEW President and CEO Tony Khan had tempered fan expectations, clarifying that this debut wasn’t on the same level as a major signing like Will Ospreay, and assured that it wasn’t former WWE superstar Ricochet.

Now, after his impressive debut in a match against independent wrestler Gringo Loco, Ricochet took to his X to reassure Tony Khan’s statement that he was not the person behind the Hologram character unless he got all his tattoos removed and lost a couple of inches from his height.

“Everyone, unless I got major tattoo removal and lost a couple inches (please, I can’t lose any more height, haha). This isn’t me 😅 Shout out to them tho. They were killing it! 🔥🔥.”

Moreover, Hologram’s true identity was also revealed. Former AAA star Aramis portrays the character, who is debuting under a new persona after AAA was unable to re-sign him.

While it will be interesting to see how Hologram fits into the AEW landscape, fans also anticipate Ricochet joining the roster after his tenure with WWE ended and he recently became a free agent, making himself a hot commodity for Tony Khan to sign to his company.
