Zelina Vega’s return to WWE in 2022 was celebrated by fans around the world, marking a major comeback in her career. However, she has not yet achieved the top position in WWE, and as a result of some questionable booking decisions, the hashtag #PushZelina is now trending on Twitter, reflecting the ongoing demand for her to receive a more prominent push.
Zelina Vega has struggled to find significant success over the past year. She recently faced Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship on RAW but did not secure the win. This followed her earlier defeat to Rhea Ripley for the same title at Backlash last year.
On the July 15 episode of RAW, Vega was viciously attacked by Shayna Baszler during her match against Sonya Deville, leading to another injury and making her reconsider her role in WWE. In response, Vega took to Twitter to express her frustration with the notion that her height is a hindrance, and she shared her resolve to prove herself despite these obstacles.
“All my life, I’ve heard that my height holds me back. Today is no different. But there’s just so much you can prove here and there. I’ve gotten to touch the ball but never actually hold it. Give. me. the. ball. If I drop it F**K me, I’ll fall back..but I’m ready to settle this.”
PWInsider reports that Zelina Vega remains a hot topic online, even though WWE appears to have written her out of storylines. Last week, Vega trended following a quick squash loss to Sonya Deville on RAW. A week later, the hashtag #PushZelina is trending on Twitter after fan outrage over her booking.
Many also believe that Zelina Vega is held back in WWE due to one glaring issue. Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see whether the company will decide to push Vega in the end, as fans feel she deserves better now.
