Montel Vontavious Porter, known as MVP during his stints with WWE, has been absent from live television for some time, fueling rumours about his potential departure from the company this year.

Recent reports indicated that MVP, along with his former cohort from The Hurt Business, Bobby Lashley and Tamina Snuka, had been removed from WWE’s internal roster. In response, MVP has expressed contentment with his current situation.

Contrary to the rumours, both Lashley and MVP are still listed on WWE’s internal roster. Moreover, MVP’s current contract is set to expire in mid-August, and there have been no significant discussions about a new deal.

Amidst the ongoing speculation, the former WWE United States Champion recently took to his Instagram to drop a photo of his wrestling boots with an interesting caption hinting at his return to the ring.

“Dusted these off…”

When a user commented, “Well they don’t look hung up to me,” MVP’s reply gave clarity regarding his future inside the squared circle.

“Because they are NOT!!!”

There are also rumours that The Hurt Business could be making a comeback, potentially in AEW alongside Shelton Benjamin. With less than a month left on MVP’s WWE contract, all signs point toward him leaving WWE to compete in other promotions, but as always, in the world of pro wrestling, anything is possible.
