TNA’s top star, Moose faced a tough challenge to retain his World title at their recent pay-per-view, Slammiversary. The main event featured a six-man elimination match for the TNA World Championship, with Moose defending against Josh Alexander, Steve Maclin, Nic Nemeth, Frankie Kazarian, and Joe Hendry.
However, in a massive shocker, Joe Hendry eliminated Moose after Steve Maclin’s first elimination, which was met with a Standing Ovation, guaranteeing a new champion and earning enthusiastic “We Believe” chants.
After Moose’s elimination, the final showdown between Frankie Kazarian and Nic Nemeth kept fans on the edge of their seats. In the end, Nemeth secured the victory with a Superkick and a Danger Zone, becoming the new TNA World Champion.
On the other hand, one day after the conclusion of the TNA Slammiversary event, Moose took to his X to reflect on his loss. He expressed enthusiasm for having a remarkable run as champion and vowed to recapture the title, promising to have an even better run than his previous one.
“I HAD A GREAT RUN AS @ThisIsTNA WORLD CHAMP. BUT I PROMISE YOU MY NEXT RUN WILL BE BEST ONE.”
With Nic Nemeth now on top of the TNA mountain as the new champion, we will have to wait and see if Moose will get a rematch for his TNA World Heavyweight Championship at another major show.
What are your thoughts on Moose’s run as the TNA World Champion? Do you think he would get a rematch against Nic Nemeth for the title? Sound off in the comments!
