Ricochet is no longer WWE Superstar, but he is very active on social media. He recently explained why his Lucha Underground gimmick is likely gone for good while opening up a bit about his theory behind why the Prince Puma character is still so popular.

One fan tweeted out to ask Ricochet if the Prince Puma gimmick may come back. The One And Only responded to burst this fan’s bubble, because he doesn’t own that character.

“I dunno, it’s not my gimmick. It belongs to Lucha Underground.”

Ricochet also followed that up by tweeting out, “Lowkey, the only reason people liked Prince Puna was because he won. Lol.” This could be seen as a dig at how he seldom pulled down any big wins in WWE.

Although Ricochet may never be Prince Puma again, he’s not done in the pro wrestling world. The general thought is that he’s coming to AEW, and it’s only a matter of time before he debuts. We will keep a very close eye on that story as more information is known about his next move.

Ricochet can keep his name, because he entered WWE with that persona. The same is not true for Prince Puma, and since Lucha Underground stopped filming, it’s doubtful he will ever wear that mask again.

What’s your take on Prince Puma? Do you think Ricochet should try to get the gimmick from Lucha Underground? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
