Tony Khan’s roster has seen several injuries in the past few months. Sadly, Dalton Castle’s name has been added to that list, and he won’t be wrestling again for the rest of this year.

Jay White is out of action with a legitimate injury, causing the Bang Bang Gang to drop their Trios Titles. Skye Blue also broke her ankle during a spot with Hikaru Shida during the July 20 episode of AEW Collision. Now, former ROH World Champion Dalton Castle is out of action as well.

Dalton Castle will be out for the remainder of 2024 following his match with Roderick Strong. Castle was knocked out after taking a knee to the head, leading to speculation about a concussion. He does not have a concussion, but he will still miss significant time.

On today’s Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez clarified the situation, stating that Castle was not diagnosed with a concussion. However, Castle is still expected to be out of action for the next several months.

“Dalton got knocked out by Roderick Strong, but apparently was not diagnosed with a concussion. The reason that he’s out for the rest of the year actually has nothing to do with his head, but he suffered a different injury and needs surgery. What the injury is, I don’t know specifically.”

We send our best wishes to Dalton Castle on his recovery. Unfortunately, Castle was the second person injured on that show. This is a significant loss for the roster, as the 38-year-old offers a lot of veteran experience. It shows that injuries can occur at any time, especially in professional wrestling.
