WWE brought a big show to Green Bay, Wisconsin for RAW on July 22. The night kicked off with a thunderous segment involving GUNTHER and Damian Priest, followed by a #1 contender’s match for the Intercontinental Title.

Sami Zayn is the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion, but he needs a challenger for the August 3 event in Cleveland. Bron Breakker and Iljua Dragunov were prepared to tear each other apart for the opportunity to leave SummerSlam as IC Champion.

As expected, Breakker and Dragunov went to war in this match. Just before a commercial break, Breakker executed a move on the apron so brutal that Michael Cole called him a “sick-o.” When the show returned, the two were still locked up, fighting for control of the match.

The match included several close near-falls, with fans in the building cheering both Superstars and chanting “This Is Awesome.” Dragunov took a hit to his head after a spear on the apron that was so severe he couldn’t continue. The referee called for the bell, declaring Bron Breakker the winner and Sami Zayn’s new SummerSlam challenger.
