Saraya is one of the most beloved and well-respected female competitors in professional wrestling thanks to her being a pioneer in many ways. This culminated in her winning the AEW Women’s Title at All In last year and she has now confirmed it was a last-minute decision.

At AEW All In London back in 2021, Saraya was able to capture the moment and win the AEW Women’s Title. This went down in a four-way match with Toni Storm, Britt Baker, and Hikaru Shida.

Saraya not only secured the championship in her hometown but also made a memorable entrance with her family, accompanied by Queen’s “We Will Rock You.” A memory like this lives on with her forever as well.

While speaking on the Broad Ideas podcast, Saraya shared that before their arrival in England, the four women were unaware of who would win and had devised various scenarios in which each of them could come out on top.

It was only when Tony Khan, who had just come from a Fulham FC match, arrived that they learned the actual outcome. Saraya revealed that when Khan informed her she would be winning, she was overcome with emotion. She reflected on the significance of being trusted with such a role, despite knowing the outcomes are predetermined.

“[Tony Khan] flew in, you know, at last-second as we’re about to leave because the show was the next day and he was like, ‘Oh, you’re going over, you’re gonna win’ and I cried… With championships, you’re like, yes, it’s predetermined, right? But they trust in you to be the face of that company but I never thought I would be in this position again.”

Saraya also expressed her desire for a special entrance at All In this year, so we’ll have to wait and see what Tony Khan will have planned for her at the pay-per-view on August 25th, as it’s clear she will play a role there.
