Nic Nemeth, formerly known as Dolph Ziggler, was released from WWE in September, which definitely shocked many fans. However, he has since thrived in the business after his release and even became the TNA World Champion. In light of his huge title win, Nemeth has now broken his silence.

After concluding a quiet yet impactful 20-year tenure with WWE, Nemeth quickly made waves in the wrestling world in 2024. He joined TNA Wrestling and wasted no time becoming a major name there.

During TNA Wrestling’s Slammiversary pay-per-view, Moose defended his title against Josh Alexander, Steve Maclin, Nic Nemeth, Frankie Kazarian, and Joe Hendry. The odds were heavily stacked against Moose and there was no telling who would come out on top.

The closing moments of the match saw Nic Nemeth and Frankie Kazarian face each other to crown a new TNA World Champion. In the end, Nic Nemeth hit a superkick and a Danger Zone to win the match and thus he was crowned the new TNA World Champion.

After the conclusion of TNA Slammiversary 2024, Nemeth reflected on his two-decade wrestling career that led him to TNA in a digital exclusive. He acknowledged that he had competed against some of TNA’s top talent and noted that the outcome could have been different on another night.

Nemeth talked about the prestige of the TNA World Championship, stating that it represents the highest honor in the industry. He challenged anyone who doubted its significance to test him, revealing his readiness to defend his title anytime and anywhere.

I forced my hand because I been on TV before and tonight with five other badass superstars in that ring, I somehow came out on top. Any other night you flip that coin, someone else wins. Tonight it was my night, you know why? Because after 20 long years of digging and scratching, sometimes that timing that everyone talks about, that timing is the best thing that could happen to you. And all of a sudden, TNA on its way to the top just keeps getting better.

Look in these eyes and tell me you don’t think this [the TNA World Championship] is the premier championship in this business. And if you don’t, you’re wrong. And if you don’t believe me, try me. Any day, anytime, any place, I will be there.”

We will have to wait and see how Nic Nemeth will be booked as the TNA World Champion in the coming weeks, as there are still many people who felt Joe Hendry should have won the title instead.
