Mark Henry’s debut at the AEW Double Or Nothing pay-per-view in 2021 obviously drew tons of attention. With that said, many believed that Mark Henry simply wasn’t able to do much during his time in AEW. Now that he is no longer part of AEW, Henry admits he felt a sense of abandonment.

The World’s Strongest Man previously confirmed he would not be re-signing with Tony Khan’s company and since then, he made a shocking appearance at MLW’s Battle Riot VI event as well.

While speaking to Forbes, Mark Henry talked about his AEW stint and was asked about the most disappointing aspect of his AEW run. The World’s Strongest Man admitted he would have liked to mentor more talent backstage and felt a sense of abandonment when he left the company.

“My least-favorite, man, maybe that I didn’t get to finish with all of the people that I was helping. I felt a sense of abandonment when I left. There’s still people that I mentor and talk to, they call me every day, but then there’s some that I started and I didn’t finish and it just kills me to not be able to have an impact on their life.”
