Josh Alexander achieved notable success with TNA, playing a crucial role in re-establishing the promotion’s reputation for elite wrestling during his impressive 335-day World Title run. That’s why it was such a shocker that he turned heel on Joe Hendry at Slammiversary, and it appears he decided to mock Hendry after the heel turn.
During TNA Wrestling’s Slammiversary pay-per-view, Moose defended the TNA World Championship against Josh Alexander, Steve Maclin, Nic Nemeth, Frankie Kazarian, and Joe Hendry. The odds were heavily stacked against Moose and there was no telling who would come out on top.
During the match, Joe Hendry delivered a Standing Ovation to Moose, securing his elimination and ensuring a new champion would be crowned. The crowd erupted in a massive “We Believe” chant. However, Josh Alexander immediately struck Hendry with a low blow followed by a C4, leading to Hendry’s elimination. This move drew significant disapproval from the audience, who responded with chants of “Bullsh*t.”
After the Slammiversary event and his surprising heel turn, Josh Alexander seized the moment to taunt Joe Hendry. He shared an edited video of himself with Hendry’s theme song playing, adding a kissing emoji to emphasize his mockery. This gesture made it clear that Alexander was mocking Hendry.
We will have to wait and see how TNA will book Josh Alexander and Joe Hendry’s feud in the coming weeks, as it is quite apparent that Joe Hendry will want some measure of revenge against Alexander for his heinous actions.
