TNA Wrestling’s Slammiversary pay-per-view was truly a night of memorable matches and solid moments, but many felt there was a distinct lack of surprises and some blamed Jordynne Grace for needlessly hyping up surprises. In light of the backlash she received, she has blamed it on the recent global outage for the lack of surprises.

While speaking to Sports Illustrated ahead of TNA’s Slammiversary pay-per-view, Jordynne Grace talked noted the show and noted that it would have bigger surprises than people realize.

“The surprises are going to be even bigger than people realize,” said Grace. “TNA and NXT do surprises better than any other promotion. I don’t think anyone can argue that.

If you’re tired of accidentally reading spoilers, watch Slammiversary. Our goal is to make fans fall back in love with wrestling.”

During the TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view, fans pointed out how there weren’t any actual surprises at all, noting that having Earl Hebner appear at the show was not a solid surprise at all.

Jordynne Grace took to Twitter and responded to a fan who claimed that she said the Earl Hebner surprise was as good as Bryan Danielson’s AEW debut at All Out. Grace denied ever making such a claim and apologized for the lack of surprises.

Grace noted that no one could have foreseen the global tech outage that led to the cancellation of thousands of flights, which prevented several wrestlers, including her husband Jonathan Gresham from attending. She expressed regret for attempting to build excitement with her previous comment and apologized to everyone for the confusion.

”Never said this, but do apologize for the lack of surprise – could have never predicted a global tech outage cancelling thousands of flights. Several wrestlers, including my husband, could not make it. I regret trying to hype the show with that statement, sorry guys! 🫠😬”

It is certainly unfortunate that the tech outage ended up changing the surprises for Slammiversary, but the company will certainly have genuine surprises planned for their next pay-per-view soon enough.

Do you believe it was simply unfortunate that the global outage ended up running the surprises TNA had for Slammiversary? What surprises will TNA have in store in the future? Let us know in the comments section below!
