Tonga Loa Sporting Eyepatch After Kevin Owens Attack on 7/19 WWE SmackDown

Cody Rhodes accepted Solo Sikoa’s challenge for an Undisputed WWE Title match at SummerSlam during SmackDown last week and was brutalized by The Bloodline. History repeated itself on SmackDown this week, but Kevin Owens also became a target. However, Owens did manage to rake one of Tonga Loa’s eyes during the show and now Loa was seen wearing an eyepatch during the latest SmackDown taping.

During the July 19th episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Solo Sikoa and the revamped Bloodline made a dramatic entrance to target Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens after their victory over A-Town Down Under.

Sikoa and his faction launched a ruthless assault on Rhodes and Owens, following Solo’s prior warnings against siding with Rhodes. After incapacitating Owens, Sikoa and his Tongan allies executed a brutal powerbomb on Rhodes through the announcer’s table. During the mayhem, Owens fought back by raking Tonga Loa’s eyes, momentarily disorienting him. Despite Owens’ efforts, The Bloodline’s assault continued and saw Owens getting dismantled completely.

During the SmackDown tapings for the July 26th episode, The Bloodline could be seen once again targeting Cody Rhodes. As revealed by footage obtained by Ringside News, Tonga Loa was sporting an eyepatch, which was the result of Kevin Owens’ attack.

Tonga Loa even sent a message to Kevin Owens, making it clear he was not done with him. Nonetheless, it remains to be seen how long Tonga Loa will continue to wear the eyepatch and sell the injury, as it might stay for a while.
