TNA Wrestling brought their Slammiversary event to pay-per-view, and Montreal’s Verdun Auditorium had 4,000 fans inside, all ready to see what the company had in store for them. At the event, Jordynne Grace defended her TNA Knockouts Championship against Ash By Elegance. Both women aimed to entertain the crowd, and they delivered.

Ash, who was previously known as Dana Brooke in WWE, had been reinventing herself in NXT before her sudden release. She adapted a new character in TNA Wrestling, despite some initial criticism for copying “Timeless” Toni Storm’s persona. Jordynne Grace, who recently appeared on NXT and lost an NXT Women’s Title match to Roxanne Perez before beating Tatum Paxley to retain her Knockouts Title, was ready to showcase her strength again. This match delivered a thrilling clash as Ash sought to prove herself in TNA, while Grace aimed to solidify her reign as champion. Fans eagerly witnessed this showdown.

As the match started, Ash By Elegance took some early punishment. Rosemary, who was sitting in the crowd, made her way to ringside and scared off the personal concierge with a knife after he was ejected from the match.

Ash gained control for a bit, but Grace eventually took over and hit a Shades of Samoa, though Ash kicked out. In the end, Grace survived a few close calls, including a Sliced Bread from the top rope, and nailed the Juggernaut Driver for the win to retain her title.
