Dalton Castle is sidelined. Tony Khan announced that Castle suffered an injury in his July 13th AEW Collision bout against Roderick Strong, and he will be out for the remainder of 2024.

The match was taped on July 10th, ending with Strong hitting Castle with a jumping knee, seemingly knocking him out cold. Strong pinned Castle to earn a shot at Mark Briscoe and the ROH World Title at ROH Death Before Dishonor.

“Some injury news that’s forced changes to the plans for this Friday’s #ROHDBD Death Before Dishonor,” Khan tweeted. “@theDALTONcastle was injured in his Saturday Night #AEWCollision bout last week vs @roderickstrong. Sadly Dalton will be out of action for the remainder of 2024. Get well soon DC.”

As Dalton Castle begins his road to recovery, fans and colleagues alike are rallying behind him with unwavering support. Tony Khan’s announcement has certainly shifted the dynamics for ROH Death Before Dishonor, but the wrestling community remains optimistic about Castle’s return to the ring in the future.
