Chelsea Green has gained recognition as one of WWE’s most eye-catching stars and now it appears she wants to bring back the WWE Divas Championship as it would be controversial.

Over the past few weeks, Green has been advocating for the return of the butterfly Divas Championship, a title that was retired after WrestleMania 32 when Charlotte Flair won the WWE Women’s Championship.

While speaking in an interview with Ring The Belle, Chelsea Green explained that her push for the title’s return is driven by its controversial nature. She noted that the controversy sparks conversation and increases visibility. Green emphasized that when people tweet about her, it benefits her by making her go viral.

“Well, first of all, because that’s the thing. It’s a controversial take and everybody’s talking. I think that’s what people don’t understand is, when you tweet about me, you’re doing me a favor. You are making me go viral. So that’s what’s happening.”

Chelsea Green even addressed the possibility of WWE introducing two new Women’s Titles for RAW and SmackDown. Despite the positive evolution, some wrestlers and fans have fond memories of the Divas era and believe the branding received undue criticism. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see if the Divas Championship will ever return to the company again.
