Sting retired from professional wrestling at AEW Revolution earlier this year, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t keep tabs on what goes on in AEW even now. That’s why he has now reacted to Britt Baker borrowing a page from his playbook on Dynamite this week.

During the July 17 episode of AEW Dynamite, Mercedes Mone defended her TBS Championship against Nyla Rose, whose considerable size presented a significant challenge.

Despite Rose’s strong performance, Mone successfully retained her title. However, the drama continued post-match when a fan wearing a Sting mask attacked Mone at ringside. The fan was revealed to be Britt Baker, leading to a heated altercation that security quickly moved to control.

Sting took to Twitter and reacted to Britt Baker taking a page from his playbook, as he simply noted that it was showtime for Britt Baker D.M.D, clearly appreciating what Baker did.

”It’s Showtime for D.M.D. 🦂👊🏼 @RealBrittBaker”

As for Mercedes Mone, she threatened to call the cops on Britt Baker after what she did on Dynamite. Nevertheless, Sting will forever remain one of the most influential pro wrestlers of all time and it is likely more AEW wrestlers will emulate what he did on television.
