Motor City Machine Guns’ WWE Debut Status Revealed

The Motor City Machine Guns remain one of the most beloved tag teams in pro wrestling right now and they raised eyebrows after leaving TNA earlier this year. With rumors intensifying they might be WWE-bound, their WWE debut status has been revealed.

Following their TNA exit, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelly have been in talks with both AEW and WWE over the past few months. In fact, AEW President Tony Khan made it clear he wanted the Machine Guns in AEW.

Things got more interesting when the Motor City Machine Guns seemingly bid goodbye to the independent circuit recently. According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley are expected to be making their way to WWE, which is the general talk in the wrestling world.

They recently faced each other in a singles match on July 12 for Prestige Wrestling in Portland, OR, and bid farewell to indie wrestling. Despite their in-ring goodbyes, they are scheduled to appear on August 18 in London, ONT, for Smash Wrestling, where they will face Evil Uno and Stu Grayson at the Music Hall.

Sabin and Shelley have been in discussions with both AEW and WWE since their TNA contracts expired. Recent indications suggest that WWE may have made a more appealing offer, leading to speculation that they are WWE-bound. Tommaso Ciampa hinted at this on social media, and while Sabin and Shelley have remained silent on their next move, it is believed they have already made their decision.

We will have to wait and see whether Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley will make their way to WWE, as their tag team expertise might just be what the company needs to inject new blood into the tag team division.
