Gable Steveson, after joining WWE a few years ago and undergoing extensive training, saw his television debut delayed, leading to his eventual release. Despite his struggles to connect with the WWE audience, Steveson is now venturing into a new field—professional football.

Following his release from WWE, Gable Steveson transitioned to the NFL, signing with the Buffalo Bills as a defensive lineman. He started his NFL journey last month and has been dedicating significant effort to excel in his new role.

During an episode of The Kurt Angle Show, Kurt Angle made a bold statement, praising Steveson’s athleticism and suggesting that he might be even slightly better than Brock Lesnar. Angle acknowledged the difficulty in making such a comparison, given Lesnar’s remarkable athleticism, especially considering his size.

Angle highlighted Steveson’s speed, agility, and impressive physique, noting his ability to perform standing backflips despite being a 250-pound athlete. Angle expressed that it was no surprise to see Steveson sign with the Buffalo Bills, given his exceptional abilities.

“The kid’s a super athlete. You think Brock Lesnar is an athlete? This kid, he might be a little tad bit better athlete than Brock Lesnar. I don’t say that lightly because, especially for Brock’s size, he’s an incredible athlete, and so is Gable Steveson. But this guy, I mean, he’s fast, he’s athletic. I’ve seen him do backflips, just standing there. He’s a 250-pound monster. Good for him to be able to do stuff like that. It’s just incredible, so I wasn’t surprised if he signed with the Buffalo Bills.”

Initially, WWE had plans to book Gable Steveson as the next Brock Lesnar, but those plans have now changed. Despite his departure from WWE, Steveson is clearly committed to his new career path in the NFL. It remains to be seen whether he will achieve greater success in football, as his WWE career did not meet initial expectations. With Kurt Angle’s confidence in his abilities, Steveson might indeed find significant success in his new journey.

What do you think of Gable Steveson’s transition to the NFL? Will he achieve greater success in football than in WWE? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
