WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry is credited as one of the most respected wrestling veterans of all time. He began his career in weightlifting competitions and slowly transitioned into the world of professional wrestling, beginning his career in WWE in the 1990s.
Following his long and successful tenure as an in-ring performer and backstage personnel in WWE, Mark Henry left the promotion and chose to sign with their rival promotion, AEW, in 2021, which was a huge shocker.
However, after spending three years with the company, Henry departed from AEW, revealing a primary goal to pursue as the reason for his exit. However, WWE is set to immortalize him with a special Documentary airing July 21st on A&E.
During a recent interview on The Angle with Joey Karni, Henry expressed enthusiasm for WWE releasing his documentary and for people to see his body of work over the years. Moreover, he felt optimistic about being inducted into multiple Hall of Fames for the impact he has made on the industry and all his accomplishments, being highly grateful for every opportunity he got.
“It was awesome. I look at it like now I’m living my life for statues. I want to be remembered. I want people to see the work that I’ve done and what I gave to the industry that I worked in and that I left them better than I found them. I don’t doubt that it’s a possibility that I’m in multiple to hall of fames but it’s time to do more. I take a lot of pride in the fact that a lot of people appreciate my work and have gotten behind the things that I’ve accomplished. I don’t take it for granted at all. Every last one of those people that showed me some love and respect I thank you and I’m humble by it. The arrogant prick was just an act.”
With Mark Henry’s documentary already creating headlines and The World’s Strongest Man also excited about it, we will have to wait and see the reception of the fans upon its premiere on A&E.
