WWE has seen several names return to the company, even after stints with AEW. One name that fans would love to see back is WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry. While he hasn’t returned yet, he hasn’t ruled out the possibility, but he has certain conditions.
Mark Henry departed from AEW after his deal ran out and he decided not to re-sign with them. He hasn’t publicly bashed Tony Khan’s company, but is decided to move on to focus on other ventures.
In an interview with The Angle, Mark Henry discussed his status as a free agent and his openness to signing with WWE. Henry didn’t dismiss the idea but emphasized the importance of retaining his freedom.
“You know what, I’m open to it, but I feel completed. I don’t want to sign with somebody else to not be able to do what I want to do.”
WWE has allowed personalities like Pat McAfee to continue their outside endeavors, as Pat has his daily show, and Joe Tessitore to remain with ESPN while taking on WWE announcing duties. This flexibility suggests that Mark Henry could potentially continue his work with Busted Open Radio if he were to return.
The future for Mark Henry remains uncertain. He has much to offer the wrestling world, both inside and outside the ring, although he hasn’t wrestled in some time.
What do you think about Mark Henry potentially returning to WWE? How would you utilize him in the company? Share your thoughts in the comments section!
