The storyline between Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio has seen tons of changes since Morgan’s unexpected kiss few weeks ago and it got even more interesting on RAW this week. Interestingly enough, Liv Morgan has made it clear she has no intention of competing in a ‘Custody of Dominik’ match at all.
As seen during the July 15 edition of RAW, Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio had a lot of awkward moments thanks to Mysterio and Liv Morgan’s questionable antics. However, Ripley did seem to forgive him at the end of the show.
Prior to that, Liv Morgan tried to get on top of Dominik Mysterio during the latter’s match against Jey Uso, prompting Rhea Ripley to march down to the ring and this led to Morgan running away through the crowd.
Ever since Liv Morgan began flirting with Dominik Mysterio while Rhea Ripley was sidelined, fans have speculated about a “Custody of Dominik” match, referencing the iconic SummerSlam 2005 graphic of Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero’s ladder match for Dominik’s custody.
Liv Morgan addressed the idea of such a match while speaking to Rusic & Rose on The Big Show. Instead of focusing on a formal contest, she expressed a desire to win Dominik’s attention through her actions and qualities. She gave emphasis to her interest in showcasing what she brings to the table and appreciating Dominik’s own contributions, rather than relying on a match to win him over.
“I want to win Dominik the ol’ fashioned way. I don’t want to win him in a match. I want him to see what I bring to the table because I see so clearly what he brings to the table.”
We will have to wait and see how Dominik Mysterio will fare in this ongoing storyline with Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan, as things continue to build up more and more with every passing week.
