The premier giants in combat sports, WWE and UFC, became a part of the same parent company, TKO, following their merger in 2023. Both entities have seen superstars make crossover appearances on their respective shows.

However, the fighters from WWE and UFC have yet to compete against each other. Despite that, WWE superstar CM Punk, who is currently rehabbing from injury, gave his take on the subject.

In video released by TKO on their X, Punk can be seen talking about the importance of WWE and UFC crossover events. The Best in the World stated that these crossover events bring professional wrestling back to its roots, claiming that both sports have a lot of similarities and parallels.

“We are under the TKO umbrella, but to me, what’s important about this is that it brings pro wrestling back to its roots. I think there is a lot of similarities, there is a lot of parallels and at the end of the day, we are all brothers and sisters and we are all fighters.”

With both global entities now part of the same umbrella, it will be interesting to see if WWE and UFC fighters battle it out in a squared circle or the octagon to bring fantasy warfare to life.
