Paul Wight has been with AEW for a considerable period but has not been actively competing. It has been some time since he was last seen on AEW television. Wight recently revealed that he has undergone surgery to replace both his hips and knees.

Paul Wight returned to in-ring action on the November 15th episode of AEW Dynamite during the Like A Dragon Gaiden Street Fight. He teamed up with Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, and Kota Ibushi to defeat Konosuke Takeshita, Brian Cage, Kyle Fletcher, and Powerhouse Hobbs.

During the match, Wight delivered a significant chokeslam to Fletcher and engaged in a brawl with Powerhouse Hobbs. However, his participation was cut short when Hobbs slammed him onto the hood of a car, forcing him out early. Wight later teamed with Chris Jericho in January but has not wrestled since. In fact, he has been absent from AEW television for several months now.

Paul Wight took to his Instagram and confirmed that he had both of his knees and hips replaced and was shown doing leg workouts as he made it clear his training for a return as soon as possible.

”Today was a great day! Grateful. ❤️😎💪. Both knees both hips replaced. No pain! Well other than the hard work to get back into shape. That’s not egg shaped. lol. #rebuild#gym#fun”

Regardless, it remains to be seen what the future holds for The World’s Largest Athlete, as fans want him to compete inside the squared circle one last time as he seems to be working towards that now.
