WWE NXT fans have been buzzing about Joe Hendry’s entrance music, but he remains committed to TNA Wrestling for the foreseeable future. The new partnership between WWE and TNA has allowed Hendry to make several appearances on NXT, despite his firm contract with TNA.
Hendry has emerged as a standout act in TNA Wrestling, leveraging his popularity to create viral moments and appear on NXT television.
In a conversation with Chris Jericho on Talk Is Jericho, Hendry addressed the duration of his TNA contract. While he didn’t provide specific dates, he indicated that his current deal still has considerable time remaining. He still feels great about TNA Wrestling and WWE NXT’s current working agreement.
“We’ve got a while, but because of the working relationship, I really feel like anything is possible. I’m very thankful to TNA management. Any time, not once have I gone to them with an opportunity, and not once have they said no. I’ve gone to them and said, ‘I think this would be great.’ They always support me.”
“There was a time recently, I went to TNA, they had some big matches for me coming up, and I said, ‘I want to go to Orlando and I want to train with Ace Steel and Natalya and Tyson Kidd. I’m going to go. If you want to help me facilitate this, I would appreciate it.’ They said, ‘What can we do to help?’ Whenever I’ve tried to invest in myself, TNA has helped me do that. They’ve been behind me all the way. They’re very giving to the ideas and opportunities that present themselves. I really feel like anything is on the table,” said Hendry.
Joe Hendry was part of the main event for the July 9th episode of NXT, teaming with Trick Williams to defeat Shawn Spears and Ethan Page. He returned on the July 16th episode as a special guest commentator.
Hendry’s future appearances on NXT remain to be seen. His recent non-physical appearance highlighted his charisma, which has resonated with NXT fans. Stay tuned to Ringside News for updates on this developing story.
