Bret Hart has long harbored deep resentment towards Bill Goldberg for the infamous career-ending kick delivered at Starrcade 1999. The wrestling icon continues to voice his grievances against his former rival. Recently, Eric Bischoff has called out Hart for his hateful remarks.

Bret Hart has always been very critical about his time in WCW and even as part of the ‘Who Killed WCW?’ docuseries, he had a lot of negative things to say about his former company.

While speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff talked about a segment on WCW Nitro following Owen Hart’s death, which featured Bret Hart talking about his brother’s death. Bischoff was asked why Bret Hart never mentions this segment whenever he talks about WCW, adding that Hart just talks negatively about WCW.

Eric Bischoff expressed his frustration with Bret Hart, stating that Hart consistently criticizes WCW and himself. Bischoff believes that Hart will never change and will never have a moment of realization where he acknowledges having had a good life despite his experiences. According to Bischoff, Hart always blames and disparages others without taking responsibility for himself, and he views himself as smarter and more talented than anyone else.

“Bret Hart can’t open his mouth without s****** all over WCW and me. That’s just Bret. He’s never gonna change. There’s never gonna be a light bulb that’s gonna go off in Bret’s head and go, ‘Wow, actually despite all the things I’ve been through, I’ve had a pretty good life and I’ve got plenty of life ahead of me.’

He’s never going to be that guy. He’s always going to blame somebody, hate somebody, need to disparage somebody without taking any responsibility for himself. It’s always everybody else’s fault, and nobody is as smart or as talented as Bret Hart according to Bret Hart.”

Nevertheless, Bret Hart will always be bitter about his time in WCW and fans completely understand why, but many people also feel that Bret Hart should simply let go of all the hate and resentment stored in him.
