Brooks Jensen is a rising star in NXT and has been showcasing his promising talent but not many people are fans of his current storyline in NXT. In fact, Jensen has now clapped back at a fan who criticized his gimmick after NXT this week.

On the July 9 episode of WWE NXT, Brooks Jensen had a sit-down meeting with NXT General Manager Ava. They discussed the challenges he has faced, including losing his tag team and feeling abandoned. Ava disclosed that she and Shawn Michaels had contemplated releasing him but ultimately decided against it due to positive feedback.

During the July 16 edition of WWE NXT, Brooks Jensen squared off against Je’Von Evans, which stemmed from Jensen attacking Evans on last week’s show. Jensen was ultimately unable to defeat Evans and then attacked Evans after the bout, before Josh Briggs stopped him.

A fan took to Twitter and criticized Brooks Jensen’s gimmick, stating that it is simply not working for him, noting that the gimmick does not make sense for him whatsoever. This led to Jensen clapping back at the fan, calling him a bum and making it clear he is more concerned about getting his paychecks from WWE than what the fan said.

”Do I let a bum like this dictate my night or do I let the paycheck from WWE dictate my night? 🤷🏻‍♂️ #WWENXT”

Brooks Jensen was also furious at WWE reusing an old 2K20 theme for his current entrance song. Regardless, we will have to wait and see how WWE will continue to book Brooks Jensen, as many fans feel he needs improvement.
