Several WWE stars are currently out of action for various reasons, including injuries and awaiting creative direction. One such star is Asuka, who has been absent due to a knee injury. WWE has now provided an update on her return.

Asuka has been off television since she needed surgery after the Backlash Premium Live Event on May 4. She underwent surgery in early June. In just over a week, WWE will embark on a brief tour of Japan, scheduled for three consecutive dates from Thursday, July 25, to Saturday, July 27.

The tour will kick off in Osaka at the Edion Arena, followed by two consecutive nights at Tokyo’s Ryogoku Arena. The July 25 event in Osaka features a six-woman tag match with Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, and Meiko Satomura facing Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, and Kairi Sane. Asuka will accompany Damage CTRL.

It’s important to note that Asuka is only advertised as accompanying her Damage CTRL teammates, not competing. There is no word yet on when she will return to in-ring action.
