The July 16 edition of WWE NXT displayed a night of jam-packed action, a surprise appearance of which is here to stick around and some interesting developments setting the tone for next week’s show.

In a backstage segment, new NXT signees Cedric Alexander and Ashante “Thee” Adonis were scanning around the new landscape they were now a part of. Amidst that, Ashante ran into Meta-Four and tried to make a move on their member, Jakara Jackson.

However, Ashante’s gesture was not appreciated by other members, Lash Legend and Oro Mensah, who have been having their own problems with NXT Champion Ethan Page. Nevertheless, Mensah and Ashante Adonis are now set to collide next week on NXT.

Elsewhere, the tensions between Eddy Thorpe and Lexis King escalated after The King interrupted Thorpe’s recent DJ gig at an event. Now, both men will compete against each other on NXT next week.
