TNA Wrestling and WWE have a history of collaboration, which was reignited in May with Jordynne Grace’s appearance on NXT television. This has led to further appearances by stars from both WWE and TNA across both companies.LA Knight has now addressed how TNA’s partnership benefits WWE.
Since then, talents like Joe Hendry have made significant impacts on WWE television, while NXT stars such as Charlie Dempsey have recently crossed over to TNA, igniting a feud with The Rascalz. The potential for collaboration between WWE and TNA seems boundless with these developments.
While speaking on his appearance on the Battleground Podcast with Tim Battle and Eli, LA Knight was asked about WWE’s collaboration with TNA and its implications for WWE.
Knight admitted he wasn’t sure of the specific benefits for WWE, emphasizing that it wasn’t his decision to make or something he focused on. He speculated that the partnership likely benefited TNA, possibly through access to their library or other arrangements involving talents shared between the promotions. Knight acknowledged the unprecedented nature of such collaboration, noting it has generated significant buzz and attention within the wrestling community.
Knight suggested that the alliance between WWE and TNA has sparked widespread interest and discussion, drawing more attention to both organizations. Knight concluded by suggesting that the partnership might be providing WWE with some level of exposure and a boost in visibility.
“I have no answer to that. I don’t know. I don’t know what the benefit is for us, if I’m honest. I really don’t care because it’s not my decision to make, not my thing to do. I’m sure it gives great benefit to TNA. Who knows? Maybe there’s a deal worked out where there’s access to the library or something like that because we do at least have a few guys who have run through that system. Maybe there’s something there. Who knows? I don’t know. I think that all remains to be seen, but I mean of course, it’s definitely gonna get people talking because this is something that I think is pretty well unprecedented at this point. So to see that happen, to hear about that, all of a sudden, a lot more eyes are going over there, like, ‘Wait a minute, they’re doing what? Who’s coming in? TNA’s working with WWE? That’s insane.’ So I would imagine that’s probably maybe giving us at least a little bit of a boost.”
Nevertheless, WWE and TNA’s collaboration is already proving to be beneficial for both companies and with multiple crossovers expected between the two promotions, it is truly a great time to be a pro wrestling fan.
