WWE, the global juggernaut of professional wrestling, has made significant strides in expanding into various markets in recent years. Recently, Cody Rhodes advocated for a WWE premium live event to be held in Mexico, making it clear WWE is focusing on global expansion.

For the past couple of years, WWE has made it a point to hold Premium Live Events outside of the US. The likes of Backlash, Elimination Chamber, Clash at the Castle and more certainly come to mind in that regard but so far, no Premium Live Event has ever taken place in Mexico.

WWE took to its official Instagram account and uploaded a video of Cody Rhodes at the July 14 live event in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Cody Rhodes noted that if there is a place that deserves a Premium Live Event, it’s Mexico as he continued to advocate for a Premium Live Event in the country. He seemingly urged Triple H to ensure the event happens, pointing out to Triple H how much fans in attendance want a Premium Live Event in Mexico.

“If anyone deserves a PLE, it’s right here in Mexico… Same way with France, same way with Italy, same way with Scotland. This man right there, that camera, on the other side of that camera is our boss, Triple H. [Points at camera] You heard them.

We have reported that WWE is looking to have a stronger presence in Mexico as well. Even Rey Mysterio wants a Mexican Premium Live Event. Therefore, we will have to wait and see whether fans in Mexico will get their wish and will finally get to see a Premium Live Event take place there.
