The pro wrestling world has seen waves of free agents enter the pool following WWE releases, and now Cameron Grimes can’t wait for his non-compete clause to expire. He recently updated his look, and Grimes may light up another ring soon enough.

Cameron Grimes, who first made a name for himself in PWG and TNA Wrestling as Trevor Lee, is expected to attract significant interest outside WWE. During his time in NXT, Grimes had a memorable feud with LA Knight and Ted DiBiase and enjoyed a run as the North American Champion. He was called up to the main roster in 2023 as part of the Draft, joining the SmackDown roster. However, his last match was on April 12th, where he lost to Bron Breakker, and unfortunately, he wasn’t given much of a push on the main roster.

With just a week left until he can negotiate with other promotions, Grimes is eagerly counting down the days. Given his talent and experience, he would be a valuable addition to any promotion looking to enhance their roster. As he put it, “One week until I’m a free agent.”

In April, Grimes was released from WWE alongside Von Wagner, Xyon Quinn, Veer, Sanga, Jinder Mahal, and Xia Li. Despite being assured by a higher-up that he’d always have a job in WWE, Grimes found himself let go. This news came as a surprise, especially considering his contributions and popularity during his time with the company.

We will have to see what Bron Breakker can do on the indie scene. He could break out and reinvent himself in a big way. Only time will tell if he makes it back to WWE, but he certainly has a lot of people pulling for him.

What’s your take on Cameron Grimes’ WWE tenure? Do you think the company did all they could for him? Let us know in the comments section!
