Bryan Danielson is celebrated as one of the top professional wrestlers globally, with a long career at the highest levels of the sport. In AEW, he has competed against many top stars, including Kenny Omega. Danielson has expressed regret that he and Omega have only had one match against each other.

At AEW Grand Slam 2021, shortly after Bryan Danielson’s debut at All Out, he squared off against AEW World Champion Kenny Omega in a much-anticipated singles match. Although the title was not on the line, both competitors delivered an intense bout that ended in a time limit draw after 30 minutes, leaving fans hungry for more in their rivalry.

However, they never ended up facing each other again in a singles match. Instead, Danielson had four classic matches with Adam Page instead, even beating him to win the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament last week.

While speaking to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Bryan Danielson talked about his match with Kenny Omega and his series of bouts with Adam Page. He admitted it is unfortunate he only faced Omega once, adding that he envisioned facing Omega in a series of matches but was glad he got to do that with Adam Page.

“Me and Kenny, unfortunately, we’ve only had the one match. When I came to AEW, I envisioned having these series of matches with Kenny. Instead, it’s been Hangman, and I’ve learned firsthand how incredible he is. Hangman’s the man. That dude’s awesome. When AEW started, he was the one everyone was pointing to as the future, as the guy who was going to lead the company forward. The personality he brings, the intensity. I think that’s where we find our chemistry. We both love these intense matches. There’s not a lot of pulled punches, right? And maybe that’s what makes the two of us so good together.”

Even Kenny Omega believes a rematch with Bryan Danielson will happen and stated that it will be epic. In the meantime, Danielson is focused on his upcoming match with Swerve Strickland at AEW All In, so we’ll have to see how he will fare in the match.
