Unadvertised WWE Superstar Present at Recent Marigold Event

Rossy Ogawa shook things up in Japan when he was ejected from STARDOM and opened a new women’s wrestling company called Marigold. He is also getting support from WWE, and they loaned out IYO Sky for a match, but she wasn’t the only WWE Superstar around.

IYO SKY has made her return to Japan. The former WWE Women’s Champion wrestled in the co-main event of Saturday’s Marigold Summer Destiny event at Sumo Hall. She defeated Utami Hayashishita following a tombstone piledriver and a moonsault. After the match, she thanked Hayashishita, WWE, and Marigold.

Corey Brennan reported on Fightful Select that Kairi Sane was backstage at Summer Destiny visiting and supporting IYO Sky. We have not heard if there are plans for Kairi to appear in Marigold in the future.

We will have to see how many women come from WWE to Marigold for a match or two. The company is certainly putting more interest in helping out certain companies, including TNA Wrestling, which is getting some NXT talent. Kairi Sane and IYO Sky both have ties with Rossy Ogawa, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them continue that relationship as things progress.
