Giulia’s Injury Status After Recent Marigold Match

The pro wrestling world is full of unfortunate injuries, and some fans were concerned when Giulia wrestled for Marigold just months after having wrist surgery. WWE has their eye on her in a big way, and she may already be under contract, but she still brought it all for Rossy Ogaway’s new company.

During Marigold’s Summer Destiny 2024 event, Sareee defeated Giulia, becoming the inaugural Marigold World Champion. This was a surprising twist for the match, but it was also expected by many because the general idea is that Giulia is coming to WWE.

Giulia may have already been in WWE if not for an injury. Giulia suffered a fractured right wrist during a match on Monday, May 20, at the Marigold Fields Forever event. She had joined forces with Utami Hayashashita and faced former NXT star Sareee and Bozilla in a losing effort. She sustained the injury a few minutes into the match, and then tweeted out on May 30 that she was discharged from the hospital while sporing a cast and arm sling.

Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that Giulia came out of the event uninjured and did not re-aggravate her recent wrist injury. Giulia has noted that she has little time left in Marigold and, as previously reported, is expected to begin in NXT once her Marigold dates are taken care of.

It was also reported that Kairi Sane was backstage at the Marigold show. She has ties to Rossy Ogawa, but there is no worth whether the WWE Superstar will also wrestle for the new women’s company.
