Many talents in AEW and ROH consistently go above and beyond to entertain fans, but injuries can happen at any moment. It appears that another AEW star is currently out of action due to injury.
In the main event of the July 13 AEW Collision, The Undisputed Kingdom’s Matt Taven and Mike Bennett secured a victory over The Conglomeration’s Kyle O’Reilly and Orange Cassidy in a non-title match. The match featured several twists, including Roderick Strong’s commentary interruption and Tomohiro Ishii’s surprise attack on Kyle O’Reilly, although it didn’t alter the outcome.
Orange Cassidy was taken out of the match when Trent Berretta intervened, leading to Cassidy retaliating by striking his former best friend with a monkey wrench. Despite the loss, O’Reilly, Cassidy, and Ishii stood defiant as the show ended.
According to Fightful Select, Trent hasn’t competed in the ring since AEW Double or Nothing and he has been sidelined with an injury. Trent was slated for a significant push before being put out of action and hasn’t been cleared to compete for quite some time.
”Tonight’s AEW Collision saw Trent taken out by Orange Cassidy with a monkey wrench after months of feuding. However, Trent hasn’t competed in the ring in months, since AEW Double or Nothing. Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp confirmed that Trent has been sidelined with an injury.
Trent was in line for a push before he was put out of action, and hasn’t been cleared to compete for quite some time.”
Therefore, Trent was written off AEW television when Orange Cassidy attacked him with a monkey wrench. Regardless, we wish Trent a speedy recovery and hope he returns as soon as possible, as fans want him to continue feuding with Orange Cassidy, especially after Trent joined the Don Callis Family.
