Rhea Ripley, who had to relinquish the WWE Women’s World Championship in April due to injury, made a surprising return on RAW this week. In fact, WWE took special measures to ensure her comeback remained a well-guarded secret.
During the July 8 episode of WWE RAW, Rhea Ripley made a dramatic return. In the main event, a significant distraction happened when Liv Morgan used a chair against Rey Mysterio, allowing Dominik Mysterio to capitalize with a low blow followed by a splash for the victory. After the match, Liv jumped into Dominik’s arms, and a moment suggesting a kiss ensued.
However, the celebration was abruptly interrupted by Ripley’s entrance music. Liv quickly fled through the crowd, leaving Ripley to confront Dominik alone. As the show concluded, Dominik attempted to explain himself, but an enraged Ripley shoved him away and made her displeasure clear.
Officials frequently take extensive measures to keep superstar returns under wraps from the WWE Universe. According to a new report from PWInsider, there is word in the locker room that WWE used its private jet to fly Ripley into Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Upon arriving at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ripley was kept hidden backstage throughout the day, away from nearly everyone. She was then brought to the Gorilla Position during the main event, enabling her iconic return to close the show.
”Rhea Ripley was hidden backstage all day at Raw before she was brought to the Gorilla Position for her return. The word among talents is that WWE hid her coming to Raw by flying her in on the company’s corporate jet. They did the same with CM Punk for Money in the Bank.”
Rhea Ripley is set to address Dominik Mysterio on the July 15th edition of Monday Night RAW, so we will have to wait and see what she will have to say and whether she will forgive Mysterio in the end.
