The July 10 episode of AEW Dynamite will go down in AEW history as one of the most significant episodes of the show thanks to Mariah May betraying Toni Storm and beating her bloody. In light of the bloody incident, Storm’s health status has been revealed.
During the Owen Hart Cup tournament, Willow Nightingale faced Mariah May in a heated contest. As the match approached its climax, distractions from rivals Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway failed to sway Willow’s determination. However, Mariah capitalized on an opening, countering Willow’s signature Firearm Carry with a sudden roll-up pinfall and securing the 2024 Owen Hart Foundation Cup.
Mariah’s triumph not only earned her a shot at AEW Women’s World Champion Timeless Toni Storm at AEW All-In but also sparked a shocking post-match incident. Exiting the ring, Mariah launched a savage assault on Toni Storm and Luther, utilizing Storm’s own title and even her shoe to inflict punishment. This unexpected betrayal left Toni Storm bloodied and the audience reeling from the dramatic turn of events.
People were concerned for Toni Storm after she was bleeding profusely. While speaking on Fightful Select’s Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Storm’s health status after she was hit with a shoe. Sapp confirmed that Toni Storm is completely okay.
“Yeah, she’s okay. She’s a tough woman.”
Mariah May also vows to destroy what’s left of Toni Storm at AEW All In next month. It remains to be seen how AEW will develop Mariah May and Toni Storm’s feud in the coming weeks, as fans are incredibly invested in their angle right now.
