AEW’s Internal Reaction to Shane McMahon Debut Rumors

Since his absence from WWE after WrestleMania 39, Shane McMahon has maintained a low profile in the wrestling industry. However, recent rumors suggest he may be considering a debut in AEW. The internal reaction within AEW to these rumors has now been disclosed.

Mercedes Mone also confirmed that she had met up with Shane McMahon recently while boarding their respective flights, but didn’t disclose what they talked about. Tony Khan also made it clear that Shane McMahon is more than welcome in AEW, adding to the rumors

The rumors are only running rampant now as many people are convinced Shane McMahon will end up joining AEW by the time 2024 comes to a close, but there’s no guarantee of that.

While speaking on Fightful Select’s Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked if there have been any discussions between AEW and Shane McMahon. Sapp noted he doesn’t know if that happened but he did confirm that there have been discussions about Shane McMahon in AEW.

“I don’t know if there has been conversations between the two but there have definitely been discussions ABOUT Shane McMahon.”

Interestingly enough, Vince Russo believes Shane McMahon and Vince McMahon are secretly plotting to purchase AEW. Regardless, we’ll have to see if Shane McMahon will make his way to AEW in the end.
