At AEW’s Forbidden Door event, Stephanie Vaquer captivated the audience with her impressive performance, catching the attention of WWE and ultimately leading to her signing with the company. However, it seems she never considered joining AEW during her negotiations with WWE.

As previously reported, CMLL announced that Stephanie Vaquer officially parted ways with the promotion and NJPW. Vaquer chose to relinquish both the CMLL Women’s Tag Team Championship and the CMLL Women’s Championship, citing personal reasons that also prevented her from participating in FantasticaMania.

It was then confirmed that Stephanie Vaquer officially signed contract with WWE and will be heading to Orlando shortly to begin her WWE training. However, fans wondered if she even considered AEW.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, several sources indicated Stephanie Vaquer did not seriously consider joining AEW. A WWE insider mentioned that WWE offered Vaquer a “tremendous contract,” being aware of the offer she received from AEW.
