The go-home edition of SmackDown for WWE Money in the Bank saw a huge shocker at the end of the show, and this could potentially set the tone for the festivities planned for the July 12 edition of SmackDown.

In the main event of last week’s show, A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory and Grayson Waller) were scheduled to defend the WWE Tag Team Championships against DIY (Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano.

A hard-fought battle between both sides saw a spectacular ending, as both Ciampa and Gargano trapped their opponents in submission moves and made them tap out to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions.

In light of the title change, WrestleVotes took to their X to reveal that a potential rematch for the WWE Tag Team titles is planned for tonight’s edition of SmackDown, which will air from the DCU Center in Worcester.

“In a rematch from last week, I’m told the early rundown for tonight’s SmackDown features DIY defending the tag team championships against A-Town Down Under.”

With a potential title match on the horizon, it will be interesting to see if it is made official and whether Austin Theory and Grayson Waller make it a short reign for DIY, which has clinched tag team gold as a team after a long time.
