The fallout edition of SmackDown for WWE Money in the Bank saw interesting developments and set the tone for the festivities to take place next week on SmackDown.

On the July 12 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, LA Knight came out to address the WWE Universe following his shortcoming to capture the Money in the Bank briefcase last Saturday at the name-sake PLE.

However, he turned his attention to the next step forward and revealed a signed contract in hand for a WWE United States title match against Logan Paul for SummerSlam, but without his signature and absent from the show. LA Knight vowed to get his signature on the dotted line, and he could possibly do it next week on SmackDown as The Maverick will appear live on the show.

Elsewhere, tensions escalated between two other competitors, Andrade El Idolo and Carmelo, during El Idolo’s sit-down interview with Byron Saxton before the show. Now, both men are set to square off against each other in a one-on-one showdown next week on SmackDown.
