WWE is moving fast-paced ahead to its next Premium Live Event, SummerSlam, set to take place on Saturday, August 3rd, at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, with a huge title match announced for the show.
On the July 12 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, LA Knight came out to ringside after having a conversation with General Manager Nick Aldis and held a folder in his hand on his way to the ring.
The Megastar reflected on not being able to win the Money in the Bank at the PLE last week but reminded the fans that he pinned the WWE United States Champion Logan Paul to qualify for the match.
LA Knight then turned his attention to the folder in his hand, revealing it to be a contract for a US title match against The Maverick at SummerSlam signed by both Nick Aldis and LA Knight, but acknowledged that Logan Paul’s signature was not on it.
However, he invited Paul to the ring to sign it, only to reveal that, much like every week, the champion was not present on the show. But LA Knight ended the segment by vowing to get his name on the dotted line and slither the star-spangled prize from his grasp at SummerSlam.
What are your thoughts on LA Knight getting a potential WWE United States Championship match at SummerSlam? Will Logan Paul sign the contract? Sound off in the comments!
